This Cardiovascular page aims to provide information regarding best practice of common conditions which feature in General Practice. The first section contains the most current recommendations by the Heart Foundation on the Management of Hypertension, Lipids, Obesity, Ischeamic Heart Disease and Heart Failure. There are other links and references to articles with further detail at the end.

For people with heart failure and their carers:
• includes information on how to minimise the symptoms of heart failure and stay healthy
• has an 'action plan', listing the important things to do every day and when to call a health professsional or an ambulance.
