This program can assist practices address their workforce issues by providing advertising of general practice vacancies FREE of charge, providing practices with strategies for recruiting and retaining staff and providing information about new government incentives that address workforce.

• Advertise GP and practice staff vacancies on the gpns website
• Provide information about Areas of Workforce Shortage and District of Workforce Shortage
• Provide information about current Government workforce incentives
• Lobby Department of Health and Ageing for areas to be recognized as Areas of workforce shortage or Areas of Consideration
• Explore issues that affect recruitment and retention of GPs in gpns 
• Assist in preparation of applications for securing services of an overseas trained doctor (OTD).
