About

Our Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) program provides quality, evidence-based educational information for GPs, practice nurses, pharmacists and consumers about medicines. QUM aims to support high quality patient care through selecting management options wisely; choosing suitable medicines if a medicine is considered necessary; and using medicines safely and effectively.

gpns works in collaboration with the National Prescribing Service (NPS) and the Drug and Therapeutics Information Service (DATIS) to provide health professionals with quality information.

To contact DATIS, phone: 8275 1763 or for therapeutic advice, phone: 8275 1678.
